4 weeks of not blogging wrapped into one blog

So I'm lazy, I'll be honest but 4 weeks is a little ridiculous. So I am going to take on the task of updating you of the last 4 weeks in one blog. So this blog might be a little on the long side.

A day apart!

A couple weeks back Megan and I had a day apart. Which means she did one thing and I did another, makes sense right? Every year my best friend Casey Grow and the men in his family go to the Fram drag races at infineon raceway. Last year I went with them and this year they invite me again. What it meant though was that I was going to have to take a Saturday off and I work every Saturday so whenever I get one off Me and Meg go and do something. Well this time I wasn't and she was a like jealous that I was going to spend my day off with my Casey instead of her. She then got plans of her own, my sisters invited her to go to SF with them to go see WICKED. So she went with all my mom, sisters, cousins, aunts and grandma and had an awesome time. I had an awesome time too with the guys. I came back smelling like nitro and tires and had an awesome sunburn on my face.(sorry didnt take pictures). Megan didnt like the way I smelled. But she was happy to have me back for the rest of the night. It was a good guys day and girls day!

The week after the day apart, Meg and I went to her sisters wedding in the Bay area. I took two days off this time so Megan had no room to complain. It was an awesome three day weekend because it was a weekend away and we didnt have to pay for our hotel room. Megans awesome step-father Troy provided us with a hotel to stay in while up there. It was a very busy weekend! It was a beautiful wedding and we were both happy for Rachael. It was nice too cause Megan was able to see people that she had not seen in a long time. We were also able to take time on sunday morning to spend a little extra time with her little brother and sisters. All in all it was nice to get away!

Megans NEW CAR

We have been in search of a new car for megan since we have been married and this past weekend it finally happened. We have been using the Ford Ranger my father let us use until we could find a car. We are so thankful to dad for letting us use it for so long. Thanks dad! We need a cheap car but not one that would just break down on us all the time. So we went looking on craigslist and found a few car but none of them turned out. Finally we came up on the car we now own. A 2002 volvo S80
Megan loves her new car and so do I. Its awesome to have our own cars again.

Backgrounds....and a nose surgery

So this past week has been really busy, I (bubba) have been trying to get into the California Highway Patrol off and on for the past year. Now I'm at the point were I finally passed the written test about 2 months ago and took the physical test and the oral interview and passed all with excellent scores, now it was time for the background check. I have not gone through it yet but I turned in my packet yesterday YEA FOR ME! So now I wait till the background investigator calls me and starts my background. But in the mist of me doing this paper work, megan gots a surgery done to help her breath better because of a deviated septum. No it was not some crazy nose job but the bandages sure do look like it. : ) She has been doing good and bad the past week but she has made it through it and we will be going to the doctor tomorrow to get the splints and stitches taken out. So life has been busy in the Busath home! Thank you to Both mom and dads, and marianne for coming over and helping care for megan, we really appreciated it. O the best part of the week is going to my mom and dads house for dinner and as we walk in my nephew lucas looks at megan and says "Let me guess, Bubba punched you in the nose". Gosh I love that kid!

Finally!

Marianne is finally making us blog. We know that everyone has been waiting for us and since I am practically at the mercy of Marianne after my surgery I had no choice put to start blogging. The surgery went well but the recovery has been a little tough for me. We're hoping that in the next couple of days I start to regain more of my strength and appetite for things other than toast and applesauce. (Marianne tried to convince me that eating a burger was a good idea...crazy.) Stephen has been very protective and good at fulfilling his husbandly duties in taking care of me. He took two days off of work and has surprising only called once today, but that's probably because his phone died. We'll do our best to keep up with the blog between working and school and recovering. Sorry Katie no pictures, but we will post some the next time something blog worthy happens.
