The Holidays and Graduating!!!!

The Holidays were a super busy season for the Busath family this year as we both work in the retail industry. It was a lot of LATE nights, EARLY mornings and no days off. Along with the crazy holidays, I finished school. I really couldn't have finished this term without Stephen. He pushed me to stay up all night after many already sleepless nights to finish my senior portfolio as well as aided in the finished project. I couldn't have done it without him or picked a more perfect guy! It has been draining on me juggling full time work, school and family life; however, it is the biggest relief to be done and we are bothso happy that day is finally here!

To start off the holidays, Stephen and I went on a Christmas tree hunt. We found the perfect, small tree.

We started Christmas morning opening up our stockings and presents to each other. We really enjoyed time with just the two of us. Stephen got the Toy Story 1,2,3 Box Set, The Donkey Kong Wii Game, and a Gap shirt. I made out like a bandit. Back in June in LA, my twin and I went shopping in Pasadena. I went to the Kate Spade store and fell in love with this bright yellow patent leather bag. Stephen would go back and forth saying he got it for Christmas and then the next minute he wouldn't get it. So I waited and waited for 6 months, and on Christmas morning....

IT WAS UNDER THE TREE!! I really have the best husband ever!

The holidays were also filled with family and friends. We had breakfast and hung out Christmas morning at his parent's house. He really enjoyed spending quality time with our new niece, Sienna (1 month old).

After his parents, we visited my grandparents in El Dorado Hills for a few hours. We then finally made it to my mom's for Christmas dinner. My grandma flew in from Chicago, their neighbor Diana as well as Troy's stepdaughter Annie, her husband Jacob and their 4 kids came over. It was great company and we ate a delicious meal, opened up gifts and spent time together. Over all, we had a great holidays and hope everyone did as well!

It's been awhile!

Sorry it's has been so long since we have posted! Life has been crazy! So, for this last month we had 3 big events happen to the small Busath Fam!

1) Stephen got a job!! Yay! As many of you know, Stephen lost his job at Smog N Go in July and has been on the hunt ever since. Stephen now does sales as a third party vendor ad agency for their biggest client Direct TV. So pretty much he is a salesman that sells Direct TV at Best Buys, Frys and Sam's Club. He is progressing really quick and loving it. He is the top of his applicant group and moving forward to management and possibly opening his own office! Yay! It's a lot of time and energy as he works 6 days a week with longer hours to make his goals, but he is doing awesome!

2) My new job promotion! I'm the newest member of the management team at work and super excited!! More specifically though, I'm the BLE (Brand Logistics Expert or "Stock Sup.") I am in charge of all merchandise coming in and out of the store whether it is shipment, transfers, damages and defects, on hand updates, sensors and charge sends. Along with organizing and maintaining my stockroom, I'm also a manager on the floor and opening & closing. Its crazy right now preparing for the holidays as new product is coming in every shipment but I absolutely LOVE IT. It was a sacrifice to give up my sole dedication to visuals but its the step in the right direction for my future career. So come visit me at Arden Adult, I'm there 5 days a week!

3) Stephen and I celebrated our 1 1/2 year anniversary on Sept. 28! We can't believe it has been this long and still love being married! We are doing great and can't wait to hit our 2 year in March! No babies yet!

So that's what has been going on in the Busath house! We will definitely work on updating our blog during the holidays! O and 9 weeks of school left until graduation! CAN'T WAIT! :)

March 2010

So here are some events that we had in March 2010:

Thomas Seely Bacchus!

Our newest nephew was born on March 4,2010. We were
SO excited to meet him at the hospital that I covered my shift. Here are a few photos of the proud aunt and uncle and baby Thomas! He is SOOOOO adorable!

My best friend Chris' Graduation from IADT

From day one, Chris and I had class with one another and developed a strong friendship and a brother/sister relationship. We had most
of our classes together and were very competitive with scores on tests and grades (in a nice way). We pushed each other for perfect attendance and Honors. Last fall he finished his classes for an Associates degree as he already obtained a business degree. He finished early as all of his general education classes were transferred from Tennessee (LUCKY!). After completing an internship at William Rast (Justin Timberlake's company) in downtown Los Angeles, he finally graduated and of course I attended.

My old teacher Laura and I! Now she is the
head patternmaker at William Rast. She was the
one to surprise me on my birthday in LA!

Our 1st Anniversary!

We cannot believe it has been a year since our wedding day and honeymoon! This year has definately been full of ups and downs but we are so grateful we found each other and are sealed for time and all eternity. To celeb
rate the first year, we went to dinner at BJS on Friday night and ate the topper of our wedding cake. Yes, we froze it in my parent's fridge for the past year! It wasn't too bad at all!

Tiger Lily and Prissy

My mom was having rattling and a weird smell in her Explorer's air system so my dad took it to the dealership. They found a old and new nest of mice, a mother and her babies, under the dash in her car. Our family has never had these problems before because of our old cat Marshmellow who died when I was 18. Also because they live in the boonies of Rancho Murieta, mice also attract snakes and my family is deadly afraid of them so my mom decided to rescue a kitten! I was so excited because Stephen will never let me have a cat so this is my way to get my kitten fix in :) However, my parents still had a surprise up their sleeve.....instead of one they adopted TWO! They are short haired tabby sisters and completely adorable. They are adjusting great to the house even with our dog Satchmo and love to roam. So far there favorite spots are on top of the dryer, under the couch, under the bar stools, and on the stairs. They perch and wait for Satchmo to come by. I can't wait to go play with them again!!!! Here are a few pictures....

Disneyland Part 4!

So this is the final post of our AMAZING Disneyland trip. Because the parks seemed to get crowded again as people were arriving to a long 3 day weekend. We had already been on all the rides many many times so we enjoyed walking the shops in New Orleans Square and Main Street as well as the muesums on Walt Disney and his family. We even found a painting that we both LOVED but too bad it was $900. We also spent some more time in California Adventure walking around and enjoying our favorite rides for the last time on this trip.

Funny story: So I was such a kid with the characters and especially wanted a picture with Chip N Dale! After barely missing them 2 times, watching them leave for shows or other attractions while waiting in line, we finally got them in California Adventure before they left again!!! So I was on the phone with my mom telling her about my birthday night while Stephen was picking out a place to eat for an early lunch. I spotted Chip N Dale in the center square and hung up the phone and ran to get in line! Stephen laughed and walked to follow me and see where I was going. I was so excited to finally get a picture....

Our last ride on the Hollywood Tower of Terror!

For dinner, we went to Downtown Disney and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Stephen had never been and I haven't since I was a kid. It was great last night! Our Disneyland trip was a much needed break from work, school and homework! We had an AMAZING time and can't wait to get back to the happiest place on Earth soon :)

Disneyland Part 3/ My 21st Birthday!!

So its about time I get to the best part of our Disneyland trip....well my favorite...my 21st birthday. We had a great day. We started the day at Disneyland ( my favorite park) by finally getting on some of the rides we hadn't done yet. Since it was a warmer day we were able to go on Splash Mountain and dry off quickly after.
We also met Goofy, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger!!!

We then headed to California Adventure for the rest of the afternoon before we headed to downtown LA. For my birthday night, we headed first to West Hollywood to the Grove mall to get Stephen a shirt. The mall was outdoors and so nice. (It reminded me of Stanford back at home). After sitting in traffic for a half hour every 2 miles, we made it to downtown to meet my best friend from school, Chris, who moved down to be an assistant designer! He tells me he had a surprise and when he walked in the door to the restaurant, my former teacher from school Laura popped out from behind. It took me a few minutes to recognize her because her huge curls were straight but it was the BEST surprise. We ate at this super nice restaurant next to the Staples Center in LA Live and had a great time catching up!

After dinner, we talked and hung out in LA. I had an amazing birthday! Thanks Chris, Laura and my hubby for celebrating with me!!!

Disneyland Part 2!!!!!!!

So Tuesday was an interesting day...we get up and get ready knowing that it is suppose to rain late in the afternoon. We arrive to Disneyland before the park opens and wait in line to get in. We decide to hit Tomorrowland before the crowds get there and the lines. We did the Nemo submarine ride and it was awesome! While waiting in line for Autopia, it started to sprinkle, we were okay and knew that it would lessen the crowds. A few minutes later it started to rain harder and it was still okay since we weren't getting too wet. By the end of our travel around the track, we were soaked head to toe, nothing was dry...my makeup had run down my face and my jeans were sticking to my body. After becoming completely miserable in the rain, we headed back to the hotel to dry off and our clothes. After a few hours of the storm let out, we headed back to Disneyland to meet some more characters and go on some rides for a few hours before we headed to the temple. We had fun on one of our favorites...Space Mountain...
After Disneyland in the late afternoon, we headed south to the Newport Beach Temple to attend a session together. The temple was gorgeous!!

Because we got back after the park closed, we had a great evening in watching our favorite Tuesday shows. We ate dinner in downtown Disney at the ESPN zone, a great restaurant and sports bar that highlights all sorts of sports as there are televisions everywhere! It was nice to have a good dinner and spend time together!
